En 1934 René Dorand, qui travaillait depuis 1930 aux « gyroplanes » (voilures tournantes) de la Société Bréguet proposa un « Gyroplane Convertible » destiné au transport du courrier aérien (et l'on sait à quels usages on pouvait aussi à l'époque utiliser les avions dits « postaux »). Présenté le 21 septembre 1934 à divers services officiels, ceux-ci n'y virent aucun intérêt !!! In 1934 René Dorand, who worked since 1930 on the « gyroplanes » (rotary wing machines) built by Société Bréguet, offered a « convertible gyroplane » to be used as a mailplane (one knows what could be hidden behind the « mailplane » concept in those times). The project was presented to the officials on Setember, 21, 1934 but failed to generate any interest !!
